Tragedy.....

How if one day, while u watching television in your sitting room looking at the clock, its just about 3.30am...suddenly you heard something sounded like strong wind but when you looked out, the air was still and the trees were not swaying.

You back returned to watch the TV and again you heard an explosion like that of a bomb. You ran out of the house and saw the earth sliding down the hill slope and hitting your neighbour's house in front.
You shouted to wake up your family and alert your neighbours to run for their lives.
This is what happen right now at Malaysia.. we having one more nature tragedy at Bukit Antarabangsa near by the Higland Towers tragedy, 15 years ago......
A massive landslide occurred in Bukit Antarabangsa at about 3.30am last Saturday 06 December 2008. The landslide cut off access by the main road to the residential areas at Bukit Antarabangsa, trapping hundreds of residents. The landslide happened so fast but word got around through SMSes, radio or tv, and many people made a beeline to the disaster area.
This are the experience from one of the STAR newspaper writer...
At daybreak, this writer joined a group of onlookers at a row of abandoned houses at Jalan Wangsa 9 overlooking the disaster area...They decided to circumvent a security tape which had been put up by security officials to prevent people from going near the edge of the slope...The group of them was about 15 to 20 meters from where it all started....Suddenly the earth started to move slightly and many of the uprooted Flame of the Forest trees resumed their descent...The onlookers, many of them armed with camera phones, then ran helter-skelter.
Can you just imagine how was it??hmmmmm..
as reported, three of the dead have been identified as veterinarian Dr N. Yogeswari, 40, accountant Ng Yee Ping, 30, and Shaiful Khas Shaharuddin, 20...The body of Indonesian maid Surina was removed from the rubble at around 7.40pm Saturday...
this another sad story from a father of a son, Shaiful Khas Shaharuddin who was found dead on the land slide incident..He had hoped for the best when he heard the ringing of his son’s mobile phone, but his hopes were dashed when all he saw was a hand sticking out from the rubble of his collapsed house holding the phone...He said everybody was on the top floor of his double-storey house except for his son, who was playing computer games downstairs...At about 3am, he heard his son shout ‘Why is the house moving?’ Everything else was a blur, as the house started to fall apart and collapsed....When everything came to a stop, he found his wife and relative to be safe, but he could not locate his son. So he decided to call him on his mobile phone and followed the ringing tone...He found his son buried under the rubble, with only his hand sticking out holding onto his mobile phone....The rescue team came in with saws and other equipment to extract Shaiful, but he was already dead...
What a tragic story from a father.. i just can't imagine the situation at that time.. *speechless*
Here are some factors regarding the landslide happen...

according to a senior engineer, Siraj Akbar Ali, who has 15 years of experience in the field of slope development, said the slope collapsed because of excessive water retention, probably due to poor drainage...He was commenting on the eyewitness account of some victims of the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide that there was an explosion like a bomb before the disaster happened. The drainage system in slope development is in the form of horizontal drains in which rain water flows out into the monsoon drains, rivers or streams. As a result, no water is retained in the slope's soil.
It is usually the failure of the drainage system that results in the collection of a huge amount of water in the slope soil which causes such mishaps.
Geotechnical engineers were the most qualified to ascertain the condition of soil and the type of structures to be built on slopes...The geotechnical engineer's job is to understand the changing behaviour of earth materials such as soil at the site and how these would affect the structure being built there...they will do site investigations which include the risk of natural hazards such as earthquakes, landslides and rock falls to humans, property and the environment and also does porosity, permeability and soil strength tests as all these variables will determine what kind of structure can be built on the site

last Friday 21st of November 2008, me and few frenz plan to watched a midnite movie...huuhuu.. after work, as usual, i will go to Decanter and meet yulis and azzura.. that day, yulis finish her work at 10.30 p.m.. i left my car to her and go with azzura to yulis's hse and fetch darlink farra :) at first we plan to straight away go to OU..mayb we can have some window shopping.. but i feel not comfortable and need to take my shower first.. so, go upstairs lepak, shower, etc... later at 10 p.m only we make our move to OU... reached OU around 10.30 p.m...hmm while waiting for yulis,,, what r we gonna do??hmmm... we are now at the new wing at OU.. outside of the entertainment zone.. watching ppl inside playing bowling..hmmmm dh lama tak main bowling nie.. wahhh pool pun ader..hmmm?? bowling?? pool?? if bowling, sewa lane dh RM6 + stokin RM2 total RM8... if pool only RM3 per game.. so?? we decided to play pool..waaahhh long time already didn't play this game..i used to play last time at Sunway Club.. taiko yg ajar ialah Fairuz..huhuu..skang dh tak gie sana dh...tgk larr aksi masing2 bermain pool....


skali taiko sudah datangggg..alamakkk..kalah arr camnie..huhuhuhu...


siap ader sessi belajar pool..hehehehee...

looking at the watch, already 11 p.m.. still got time.. so we had our dinner first at the Kopi Time cafe @ entertainment zone new wing OU.. they had nasi lemak with sambal chicken while, i just had a glass of water..still full..this evening i had nasi lemak before go back from office..huhuhuh...i tasted a bit the nasi lemak...boleh tahan... sedap gak.. for those who love nasi lemak, u can try those at this Kopi Time cafe at new wing One Utama (entertainment zone) aite? so, the time now already 11.30 p.m... our movie start at 11.30 p.m... what movie??haaaaaaaaaa.... that nite, we watched....

synopsis....

Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape.

huhuhuh.. just i magine u are in that situation..how??scary mannnn... i don't want to die!!! hukhukhuk..i only watched 70% of the story..the rest... under azzura's sweater..hahhahah...but i don't like the ending..anyone had watched this movie??anyone agreed with me?? how come no body is alive aite??what happen to the "golum" huhuhuhu... hope there will be Quarantine 2...hehehhe..

so, out of 5, i give 3 stars.... ;)

today is one of our fren's wedding... Ms Teresa and now dh bergelar Mrs.. waaaaahh how sweet aite?? semoga berkekalan sehingga ke akhir hayat...aminnnn!!! her wedding is held at the Dewan Felda Jln Gurney, KL...

we suppose to be there at 11 a.m... hahahha tapi knnnn mcm tak tau jerk kita org nih..lg2 me and azzura... yg darlink farra plak, klau tgk kami berdua still on the bed, dier pun lena sama... huhuhu..so, looking at the clock, now is already 10.30 a.m tak sempat nieeee.. however pun, kami bergegas bersiap msg2... we manage to reach there at 12 p.m u know? from hse around 11.30 a.m.. along dh gie keje..huhuhu?? masing2 tak tau jln nie...hmmm aper guna ader hp canggih klau tak diguna kn ..hahhaha.. so, i use the GPS navigation from my fon to search the route to jln gurney..

at 1st, everything was just fine.. just follow the instruction given "after 2 km, keep right" bla bla bla .. untill at one stage, we suppose to turn left at that time but i drove straight.. ouuuccchhh!! when i heard the GPS said "next possibility....." huhuhuh we lost already ...sorry guys..anyway, we just follow the GPS slow and steady and finally, we manage to get the place...yiiihhhaaaa... sampai sjer semua dh bersantap...persandingan pun dh selesai..aiyakkkkk... aper nk komen? mknan semua ok..ader skit masin jerk..lps mkn, skang masa bergambar dgn our beauty Mrs Teresa....

oklah selesai dh majlis.. terasa rugi plaks kn? tak dpt nk amik gmbr masa majlis persandingan...hmmm... mkn sudah, bergambar pun sudah..per lagi?? berangkat larr.. ader gak plan nk melepak lepak kn diri.. what ever pun, we have to go home and change..

3.30 p.m.......

its about to rain over here... me, azzura n farra is ready now for outing.. we plan to meet kak olin and ayu at the curves.. no msg from them?? senyap jerk... ntah2 diaorg dh sampai..hmmmmm.. while we on our way to the curve, i tried to called kak olin.. she stranded at KL..its very heavy rain over there.. hmmm its ok.. cik liz is waiting for farhana at the curve :) maybe we can join them while waiting for the rest...
AaaAAaaaa!!! dr jauh dh menjerit dah...hehehe i guess they haven't met each other for so long...waaahhh meriah nyer suasana di raikan oleh mereka2 ini... sungguh ceria .. besides liz, i met niza which i've met before.. nieza and ash(if im not mistaken) huhu otak msg2 gilerzzz :D ngee~~

so?? per plan skang? call kak olin skali plan cancel daaaaa.. its okay.. we can join farra and the geng... they wanted to go to the cineleisure damansara..nak gie free market tuh..

there something going on here..waaaahh..got concert??naaaah..not concert larrr..its a?? i like to move it!! move it!! haahhaha teka larr aper??yeaaahhh its a madagascar 2 promo held at here, cineleisure damansara.. quite interesting.. got few games for trial..its free.. here some few games that we tried...
